Re: Criticals
Remember not to overcomplicate things. Regarding the many dice rolls with a crit is scored, we, at my table, use the original location where the hit was scored, for the critical hit too. Thats one less roll and it makes more sense anyway.

Re: Opposed tests vs single test
I do not believe that really gets to the bottom of the OPs question. There certainly are instances of not getting to oppose a Test: Cat-tongued, Rover, and Tunnel Rat are just three examples. And of course, maybe the most frequented of this mechanism is when you're shooting somebody with a ranged w...

Opposed tests vs single test
So, multiple Talents makes it so, that your opponent do not get the chance to Oppose whatever you do to them. For example: Fast hands lets you use sleight of hand without the opponent getting to passively test their perception test against you. Cat-tounged lets your Charm to Lie without the opponent...

Re: Melee (Parry) and Shields
Okay after having a headache for about an hour over this topic, heres my take on how shields, parry weapons and using them each can be useful: 1: Just having a Defensive Weapon in your off-hand grants you +1SL to Oppose incoming attacks, even when your not actively using that weapon. Neat. 2: Using ...

Re: Rules
Alright cool. I might limit it too. I also thought about limiting the situational bonus from 20% increments to 10% increments.

Re: Rules
Thanks for your reply Mormegil! Strike to Stun could potentially give you double advantage (and triple), because you gain one advantage every time you win an opposed skill test. First you win the opposed weapon skill, and afterwards you must roll STR vs Endurance, potentially giving you another Adva...

Rules
Alright guys! Been playing 4th a couple of times, and i see a great lot of potential in this edition! Though, the rulebook is so crammed full of juicy info and bang for your buck, it has resulted a bit in some quite short descriptions of some of the rules, and i've got a few questions about some mec...

Re: WFRP 4 analysis
Fortunately, no one will force you to buy or play the game :) You dislike both setting (magic, races and so on) and the mechanics and rules, and many of the points you make are not tied to only 4e, but the whole WFRP series and universe. Without them, it wouldn't be Warhammer. Maybe, if you want mor...

Re: WFRP 4 analysis
This. Personally I love almost everything in the book. Seems like you dislike most of it, so I think you should stick to 2nd, and maybe introduce the few concepts you like, as they don't seem to interfere with the 2nd Ed rules too much.

Re: Bleeding Causing Further Critical Wounds
The rules states, that while you are subject to the bleeding condition, you must take the test to survive at the end of (each) round to survive. I think it's pretty safe to assume that the missing word is each, or something similar. The only way to stop the bleeding, is to remove all the bleeding ef...

Re: The Words of the Law
Interesting. And I guess there are reasons that I have never encountered the Law gods before anywhere. They doesn't seem to fit thematically in the Warhammer universe very well

Re: The Words of the Law
What's the difference between in current gods and the law gods? Verena seems to be the God of Laws, Justice and wisdom, and the other gods each represent something "good".

Re: Bleeding Causing Further Critical Wounds
No, it's says under the description, that if you reach 0 wounds you no longer lose wounds, Instead, you fall unconscious and Have a 10% risc of dying per bleeding condition you have, every round

Re: Berserk Charge and Strike Mighty Blow
Aha! I missed that Test description at the beginning of the talent chapter. Probably the first of many, super small but super important details I have missed! Thanks a lot for clarifying your clarifications, and being persistent, CapnZapp! I makes sense now. As Jadrax wrote, this is 🏅 worthy commitm...

Re: Berserk Charge and Strike Mighty Blow
Ah i can see the misunderstanding :) I just feel it is wrong to say that it gives an extra Succes Level, and not that it deals extra damage. While one does contribute to the other, it's not the same case the other way around. SL is never mentioned in the talent, but +1 Damage is. I know it's nit pic...

Re: Berserk Charge and Strike Mighty Blow
"when you Charge, you gain +1 Damage to all Melee attacks per level in this talent" It doesn't say anything about advantage. Now, under the lists of what gives advantage, charging is listed "Charging: charging headlong into battle grants +1 advantage". Wether you have the talent ...
