Re: Nurgle cults - what defines them?

Being in the process of finishing up a big Nurlge campaign, my take on such cults (for which there are three cooperating groups in my game) is that they are profoundly tragic. Some disease victims join as a last resort, hoping to cling on to life by pledging their soul and service to the Plague Lord...

Re: Wanna help me design my next WFPR campaign? (edition agnostic)

Fantastic insights, Orin J. :) I really like these insights and they line up nicely with my current, vague plans. I especially like the notion of keeping the players guessing; I will have cultists wearing cyclopian helmets with snouty bits in my campaigns, which, except for the size, would make pret...

Re: Wanna help me design my next WFPR campaign? (edition agnostic)

That's cool :) I'm just curious. I haven't seen fimir discussed that much through the years so I wondered how much use they've seen.

Any fun anecdotes and/or tips and/or inspirations for using fimirs in WFRP?

Re: Wanna help me design my next WFPR campaign? (edition agnostic)

Question: Have anyone ever used fimir in any extensive way (i.e. as part of the plot, rather than just for random encounters and the like); excluding The Dying of the Light campaign?

Re: Welcome!

Hey all! It seems I have forgotten to introduce myself. Well, I’m Angelman – same handle & profile pic as from the StS forum (‘cause change is an act of Tzeentch worship!). I first encountered the Warhammer setting back in boxing week of 1991, having gotten HeroQuest for Christmas and started playin...

Re: Wanna help me design my next WFPR campaign? (edition agnostic)

Hey all, I’ve been doing some additional work on the campaign and would love some more feedback, if you may :D I’ll repeat the first 3 scenario outlines for Act 1 for context: Scenario 1 - Mean Men in Monster Masks : Present day. In media res start, with the PCs in prison overlooking the gallows whe...

Re: Errata Update

Hey all,

So, where does one find the latest WFRP4 errata? I have the 1.0 one but I know there should be newer versions available... I just, for the life of me, can't find them! Any help would be much apreciated :-)

Wow! My mind is officially blown! This is definitely something I'll (ab)use the next time I run a Tzeentchian conspiracy campaign

Re: Wanna help me design my next WFPR campaign? (edition agnostic)

Thanks guy. This makes everything much easier :-) So, how about those Fimirs? My PCs will likely run into those guys in Act 2, and I wonder, what are some fun and interesting things to do with fimirs? Apart from orchestrating some kick-butt combat encounters? I've barely ever used them, and not sinc...

Re: Wanna help me design my next WFPR campaign? (edition agnostic)

I should also note that my campaign is based on ideas by our own eminent Grand Mutant, Herr @Whymme ;) The story isn't quite the same as his, but many of the central ideas and themes are. Thanks, dude! <3 Perhaps we should get together and exchange ideas and impressions some time, when the campaign...

Re: Wanna help me design my next WFPR campaign? (edition agnostic)

That's cool :) At the time of writing, I'm in a Jack the Ripper/the Alienist TV show/Dracula (for atmosphere, not plot)/Sherlock Holmes (the more gothic, conspiracy stuff) kind of mood myself, but Stephen King is a very good source of inspiration. The flashback thing is something I've done before, w...

Re: Wanna help me design my next WFPR campaign? (edition agnostic)

Hi all, I thought I should do an update on this just in case people are interested :) (It goes without saying that MY PLAYERS SHOULD STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM MY TOPICS on this forum :P ). The campaign has no title as of yet, although I’m toying with “Lands of Joy and Despair”. It is set in Marienburg...

Re: Adjusting the Initiate career

I've run two campaigns where Initiates started out with magic. In both examples, the PCs started out with a bit more Exp than usual*, and I "forced" the players to buy Mag+1 & Arcane Language Magic (& Channelling? can't remember... do you need it to cast spells in WFRP2, or is it just an extra?), an...

Oh no, nothing like that. It's just a nice classic love story of four men all in love with the same woman, but with a suitably WFRP twist!

(Full disclosure, I haven't actually run it myself. But it looks fun in theory.)
Sounds great :)

Re: Return of the Lichemaster

I've got no idea what Orin J. means by a dalek in Return of the Lichemaster ... but then again, I've hardly ever seen a Dr. Who episode so what do I know? :) I count RotL as one of the coolest adventures of WFRP1, a real forgotten gem. It has so much color and flavor -- great drama and characters, r...

Re: Children PCs in WFRP4

Oh, I forgot about Size (Small) ; that's a great idea! :D I'm not quite sure how young the kids are going to end up at this stage, and I'm looking at everything from 10-15, though probably somewhere around 12yoa (the boys in Stranger Things /Arya in AGoT /that kinda thing). It depends on several thi...
