^ That's probably the best way to go about it. I'll check it out.
Thanks all.

Solutions to Whiffing
Does anyone have a good house rule for alleviate the combat whiff factor?
I was thinking of something like "if both combatants have WS less than 55%, double both ratings".
So...
WS 29 v WS 37 becomes WS 58 v WS 74.
WS 29 v WS 55 stays 'as is'.

Re: 4ed Conversions
Thanks all for the info. I've decided to use 1st ed stats and eyeball anything that looks iffy.

Re: 4ed Conversions
I hadn't thought of that. Sometimes the easiest fixes are the best. Just use the new edition with old stats.
Is there an unofficial errata that's been compiled for the 1st ed core rules?

4ed Conversions
Has anyone got any tips for converting 4ed adventures to 1ed? I'm considering running TEW 4ed in 1ed.
Also, could someone point me in the right direction for the latest 1ed errata compilation, please?
Thanks all.

Staying in a Career
Can you check out these house rules for character advancement, please? They are aimed at allowing players to stay in a career as long as the player wants (to an extent). (a) Spend 100 Ep to train a skill you possess, which provides a +1% bonus when using that skill. May continue to increase skills i...

Re: Contradiction?
So what do you think about my clarification (for my benefit). Like, this is what I've type up in my FAQ / Clarification document for future reference. " If you have the required XP, you can change career whenever you want. That said, it isn’t just about paying the XP, the change of career must ...

Re: Contradiction?
So Ingrid has completed the Prospector career and that's why she can choose one of the Prospector career exits as her next career. Not sure what you're saying here. Are you implying you have to fully complete a career? As i read it the rule, or guideline, as you will, is that a character does need ...

Re: Contradiction?
I dis as you asked and it's still making no sense. There's definitely contradictions here and quite a few too. Page 91 "...characters are not allowed to change careers during a session of play." Page 92 "Characters may normally change careers at any time, provided they have the 100 ep...

Re: Contradiction?
Character may change to any Basic Career at anytime (start again). But that seems to be the exact opposite of what the rules are saying. Completing Basic Careers (page 93) "By filling all the advances on the career advance profile, the character can complete that career" And again in a pa...

Contradiction?
I've never seen any commentary on the two seemingly contradictory rules: Page 93 : " Once all the advances in a career have been taken, the character can be considered to have completed the career, and may then select any of the career exits ." Page 93 : " The Prospector career has 8 ...

Re: Errata Update
Hello everyone. I think that pg. 162 refers to ranged combat only. And the extra modifier from size does not translate in extra damage. "If this modifier allows you to hit when the Test would otherwise have failed, you succeed with +0 SL." pg. 341 refers to melee combat where the bonus is...

Re: Errata Update
It isn't a question of using the system to see if I like it. ... The question for me now - is whether or not I can be bothered to house rule things. With all respect, could it be that you're missing the point of the advice given? The advice is: Don't houserule a system before you have given it a go...

Re: Large Targets and Damage
Has someone compiled a document of all the issues WFRP4 has or is there a website that discusses them? I'd like to go through them to decide if I want to start house ruling things or just move to another rpg.
