Re: Eye for an Eye 4E conversion

I'm not sure how fair this is, given that the mechanics of a game are usually part of how an adventure is written for it. I always felt that the mechanical elements intruded less in 3e adventures than in other editions, but I'd need to read some adventures from the different editions side by side t...

Re: Middenheim: City of the White Wolf

It's claiming a population of 400,000. I'm thinking that should be 40,000 and an extra 0 has sneaked in.

Re: Middenheim: City of the White Wolf

Possibly the worst warhammer pun is still around - 1812 overcure! Ha! I think it's just beaten by the 'War of the Poses'. Not just a terrible pun, but also a very contrived gag about statues in complete different cities. Being a Lancastrain, that and The Black Pool Illuminations always amused me.

If you print the first version of a C7 PDF you have big cojones.
LOL, true.

I preordered the book from them, so I'll be getting the physical copy, too. I really don't like reading this stuff on a screen - monitor or ebook reader.

Downloading and printing now - wish I realised a few hours earlier. Archives of the Empire is also available for preorder but the PDF is not available until next month. Some good activity recently.

Ah right.. sorry, I thought you'd linked to the previous day's news.
My apologies, I hadn't realised they had put updates up two days running.

Re: General WFRP production update

I had actually put it into the DotR thread and I assume Chuck changed the title following my admission that it was getting out of scope. Having a general update thread is reasonable though, especially as we're now getting more info on a wider range of content. I'm also hoping that Cubicle 7 are gett...

Re: Death on the Reik Update

The title of this should probably be updated to Enemy Within Updates (plus other stuff). Quite a lot of info was revealed today: https://www.cubicle7games.com/wfrp-update-3/ DotR physical copies are due Q1 (just assume any date includes the word 'allegedly,' said in Angus Daeyton's sardonic tones) a...

Re: Musings on Etiquette

To me this is an inherent feature of the career. A relevant test would be something like an easy (maybe very) Fel test for a solder or an automatic pass for a character with more completed careers. For anyone else, it would be suitable harder and perhaps tested under charm or bluff.

And a magic book, and some other stuff, including possibly Gav Thorpe writing some kinda non-Empirey seafaring Elf/Marienburg/Ulthuan/epic voyage.

Some day.
Maybe.

Re: Typos, Missing Text & Errors In 4th Edition Books

What is wrong with Cubicle 7 that they can’t get these things right, especially when the release schedule has been so sparse giving them plenty of time, or even properly care about correcting them. These books aren’t cheap. I have to stymie my dismay by realising what I would have felt like if I’d ...

Re: Typos, Missing Text & Errors In 4th Edition Books

My favourite is 'Ducy of Ubersreik' on the back of Ubersreik adventures. The CE version of Enemy in Shadows has a different sum of money for the adventurers needed poster in the physical handout versus the one in the book. This is particularly astonishing as johnfinnswife observes with the copy + pa...

Good, because they spelt Navigation wrong in one of the chapter headings, of a book about boats....
LOL. I just looked that up, 'nagivation'. I wonder if the author is having some relationship issues.

Re: Death on the Reik Update

I wonder how much of that is actually new content. It looks like the River Life Of The Empire has been expanded on. The Emperor Luitpold appeared in the Warhammer Companion. I think Vengeance Of The Gravelord is at least based on a previous publication, but it's not one i ever had and i can't quite...

Re: Death on the Reik Update

I'd be very interested to know what people think of that. I've been putting off ordering DotR and its Companion. A quick chapter list with page count (rough - I've just copied the headings from the ToC): PREFACE 1 and GUEST COMMENTARIES 3 (Includes James Wallis justifying sinking your boat) CHAPTER...

Re: Enemy in Shadows - Missing text?

Fair enough. The last thing I want is this to spring off into an EU debate as I'm fed up of them. Either way, we're left without a proper forum for feedback to the published PDFs. The only mechanisms we have are emails to their support department or the google docs form, which is really just designe...

Re: Enemy in Shadows - Missing text?

Might be the EU privacy legislation. it was that. their law about cookies doesn't actually understand how the internet works and makes forums nearly impossible to run, sort of how if you passed a law saying stores had to record every footprint left inside of them and report it to the government in ...
