Re: Power Behind the Throne - the Carnival

Give the PCs the Carnival's schedule, make them buy it off a news sheet vendor for a shilling or something, maybe with a simple map of the city on the other side.
Where will they be staying in Middenheim? The Templar's Arms, another place? How do they reach Middenheim? If they meet the Jungs, they ...

Re: Papering over the big crack in Power Behind The Throne [spoilers]

Heh...if PBtT is something, wait until you've read Empire in Ruins; GM roleplays himself for 3 long stretches of the book while the PCs listen and do nothing, or get midly distracted by random NPCs for no reason than for them to do something other than listening..

But onto PBtT..
I never saw like ...

Hey everyone, just to let you know we're about 3 weeks away from restarting the Enemy Within campaign, and we're still looking for a new player! So go ahead and ask away or come and ask in person this Sunday when we complete our little 2nd ed side-campaign!

Is Reasearch a basic skill? If so then you can stil use it wiht his Attribute and the taletns will give him an edge when he does use the skill.

Re: Is Imperial polytheism realistic?

Back in 2nd there was a ''Synod of the Faiths'', some big meeting where all the Heads of the Churches met at the Imperial Palace, With the Emperor presiding; even if he was usually just there for the first day- and even then, that mostly mostly just the entrance of all the Leaders of the Faiths and ...

I'm stealing that Grail Pilgrim Hooligan idea; perfect for that tourney happening in Bogenhafen during the Harverst Festival (aka the Schaffenfest from EiS). Even if there's some 'fun' events planned for that Festival, what with Stevesdores filling in for the Watch, and the local 'hillbilly' family ...

Re: WFRP Social Justice & Representation

I think it does more with being able to argumentively beat fascism rather than using violence. I agree with Le Passant's thoughts about being an debatable subject; we must be able to discuss the matter is to be resolved. Using violence just drags things on with the intellectual equivalence of ...

Re: WFRP Social Justice & Representation

I haven't followed Vampire, but it sounds like they really struggled with trying to portray "shades of grey" as pertains to fascism. Really, that's not a political issue anyway , it's an issue of basic human decency vs. oppression. There has never been an example of "good fascism" so attempts to ...

Honestly it can die in hellfire. I want my RPG games to be free of real world politics do what you want at your table but for publishers that want my money keep it fictional. If you want your game product to be some passive aggressive messaging and preaching I'll just pass your product up. I play ...

Which stacking qualities of ammo and gun are you referring to?

Ah, not stacking per se, but ammunition have qualities in 4th ed, compared to 2nd and 1st which the weapon had qualities, and the ammo was just ammo.

Ammunition quality are more qualities and special rules you got to keep in mind ...

The talents...just those are enough to go insane..

In 2nd those were extras: you can hear better than most, reload faster, maybe know how to twist a blade when it strikes for extra penetration or get a flat bonus when using a certain skill....Worse case you can do somethign special with them in ...

Re: Roadwardens and pistols

Well, both wardens respond directly to the Emperor, so as such they get good gear. They have a rather important and dangerous job to do, a pistol is technically more powerful than a 'mere' crossbow. Also say what you will, but a crossbow bolt is hard hitting but still is a bolt; a bullet kicks even ...
