Re: Videos and Podcasts

Some trailers to the great Vermintide series. :) Primary for inspiration, mood setting and visualization. Look at a drawn Skaven on a picture is nice, but seeing them move about really brings them to life and helps, at least me, to see them as they act in my mind's eye during a game. You seem to ha...

Good luck with your games, guys! as a quick aside, is "WFRP Classic Edition" 1st or 2nd edition? that kinda stuck out at me.
I'd be surprised if that wasn't 1st edition. Twisted has been around a while and as far as i know hasn't moved away from 1st. Everything else is heresy.

Keep in mind that although the Companion might give an overview of MIddenland, that does not mean that the adventure book will not showcase Middenheim.
True, though bear in mind that the City of Chaos supplement was an entire additonal supplement of around 100 pages.

Re: Enemy Within Volume Two announced! (And a gamemaster screen's too!)

Middenland. Interesting. It suggests what direction changes to Power Behind the Throne might go in. I wonder if City of Chaos supplement will also appear, or if they're leaving that as is. it's not like WFRP has ever made any distinction between middenheim and the entire imperial province it rules,...

Volume 3 (PBtT) Companion is a Middenland supplement.
Middenland or Middenheim?
Middenland.

I didn't even notice their website had changed from cubicle7 cubicle7games.
It's also changed from a .co.uk to a .com website. I guess that this is at least partly because of their move from the UK to Ireland.

Re: Enemy Within Volume Two announced! (And a gamemaster screen's too!)

I'm quite pleased to see these but I still think C7 needs to work out how they communicate these. Really Cubicle 7's site should be the one-stop for news on what they're releasing, but instead we keep finding out more from retailer sites and gossip sites. I agree. All in all WFRP fan sites and foru...

Re: Official WFRP FAQ

More accurately a blog post called 'FAQ #1', which addresses, what seem to me to be some low hanging fruit, is online. A downloadable PDF, which is what i was expecting, will come later when Cubicle7 have put a larger collection of these FAQ blog posts online.

Re: Fear and Loathing in 4th Edition

More and more I'm giving up on this game, thinking of the sentiment somebody got from the social media I don't frequent, where the devs are said to come across as using the rules as guidelines only, rules to be ignored whenever they don't work. :x that wasn't sentiment, when i was still in the disc...

there were rules for pushing horses in "the enemy within" pgs 6-7. wfrp1 rules but i think they translate smoothly into wfrp2.

is it ok just to copy-paste them here?
I seriously doubt it given that it is copyrighted material and given that it is for sale on DTRPG last time i looked.

Great, thanks! I think this must be the stuff I vaguely remembered - I'll have a closer look at it. :) Is anyone still in touch with Didz?
I think it must be Didz posting occasionally as 'MrDidz' on the WRFP reddit thread.

Re: House rules

As as kind of carry over from the 40k RPGs we have a house rrule, used in all Warhammer systems, that hits to the head does double damage. Because getting hit in the head is not good and its wise to invest in a helmet, or was, in RL as far as I know. Hmm.... if damage is done then yes, it can get s...

There were rules for damaging armour in WFRP first edition called 'armour has feelings too' by Graeme Davis. They were in the 'Warhammer Grimoire', and i seem to recall they were in a 'White Dwarf' too.

Not to take this off topic, and without having the rules in front of me here, but couldn't those three rolls be rolled together?
You could, but if your strike doesn’t generate a critical you’ve wasted 2 of those 3 rolls.
Er... well, you know, it's not like the dice die.
