Re: Sillyhammer

All good drama/action/thrillers make good use of lighter elements to help relieve tension before building it back up, good writers do the same thing. One of the things that makes Warhammer so delightful is that it includes those bits of whimsy and doesn't take itself too seriously. What are some th...

Re: Solutions to Whiffing

"if both combatants have WS less than 55%, double both ratings". Three doubts. 1) Your rule can be interpreted in two ways: either WS of each combatant must be less than 55% or the sum of WS of both combatants must be less than 55%. The example makes it clear, though. 2) If you double WS 54%, it is...

I only yesterday realised that Josef's boat is called "The Beer-Belly".
I haven't realised that until I read you post. I'm not a British, though. Anyway, thanks.

Re: Who has run both enemy within and doomstones

I agree about Kislev even back on the day when I used it a bit I wasn't happy with it. SRiK felt out of place. The TEW companion is a good resource and seems to help smooth out the edges a bit. I you don't like "Something Rotten in Kislev", you have a very good alternative: you can either smooth it ...

Re: Minor deities or local forms of major deities?

But my main question is that when these guys start up all manner of classical cults and build Greco-Roman/Classical Tilean-ish temples, which they don't really know much about when it comes ot it, is it likely given the general way religion works in the Old World that these are brought in as minor ...

Nurgle's COVID-19

The COVID-19 epidemia is ravaging all countries or soon will do so. Certain items, such as disposable gloves and face masks, can be unavailable here or there. My question is: does any forumite desperately need these, but can't get hold of them? I can post some for free to a person who lives in the c...

Re: Imperial Calendar

Well, I am German, even from the equivalent of the Reikland. And what is the "real" equivalent of Reikland? Actually I've never thought one might be able to show it on the map of Germany. I really like the sometimes silly German names in WFRP. It's great fun. I concur. My knowledge of German is too...

Re: One week to flesh out a new adventure ...

Another reason would be in line with the second answer; by leading the peasants in revolution , the children position themselves as the natural leaders of those peasants. Somehow (possibly with the help of the peasants ) the PCs escape and flee through the tunnel. If peasants were followers of the ...

Re: Wanna help me design my next WFPR campaign? (edition agnostic)

Thanks guy. This makes everything much easier :-) So, how about those Fimirs? My PCs will likely run into those guys in Act 2, and I wonder, what are some fun and interesting things to do with fimirs? Apart from orchestrating some kick-butt combat encounters? I've barely ever used them, and not sin...

Re: The Twin Tailed.

It occurred to me that i've never, to my recollection, seen mention of the similarity between Tzeentch's twin tailed symbol and Sigmar's twin tailed comet. [...] [...] It is certainly the case that both symbols first appeared in print at the same time (in The Enemy Within around November 1986). [.....

Re: LE GOFF, La civilisation de l'Occident médiéval.

This presentation of the Roman Empire, at the 1st century of our era, by the famous French medievalist historian Jacques Le Goff, appears to me to be the perfect historical example of what would be, in the Warhammer World, a society that follows precepts of the Law gods: [...] I find this source of...

Re: Reworkings of The Oldenhaller Contract?

Over the summer break in my ongoing TEW campaign I'll be running a short side adventure for a player who was absent during much of the spring, as a "flashback" happening during her character's absence. I'm currently leaning towards basing its climax roughly on The Oldenhaller Contract. Now, I vague...

Re: Toll/Tax to enter a city

For example local farmers didn't have to pay. Never did really get, how did they prove, that they were local ? Peasants probably do not have papers… I believe the very fact that carts or wagons local farmers were driving were loaded with fresh fruits, vegetables, etc. was the best proof these peasa...

Re: Warpstone, Chaos Dwarf issue

As far as I know John has never obtained nor tried to obtain copyrights to the articles and the illustrations published in Warpstone. They still belong to their authors. Some authors didn't agree to have their works available online so WS hasn't been digitalised.
