And it was my first time being interviewed for anything WFRP-related, so I was pleasantly surprised that anyone found it interesting!

Re: Earl of Fife Games Announces Licensing Deal for Tetsubō - Former Warhammer Fantasy Setting Expansion

Good luck with this. There was a copy of Tetsubo sold as fanzines in the early 2000s - Rob Rees published it with Carnel. Presumably this has been completed and updated from what was in there (obviously with a different system)?

Re: Pirates of the Reik

Just to clarify, Rivers can have locks. I don't know about when the different locks were installed in our world's history, but you have locks on the Rhine. The lowest is roughly south of the city Karlsruhe, on the border between Germany and France. Also the Maas/Rhine delta in the Netherlands may h...

Re: Pirates of the Reik

I could be very wrong on this, of course. If so, pirates could be limited to the wider and more remote stretches of the river. The River Patrol are probably no more effective than the Road Wardens on the roads I.e. not very.

Re: Pirates of the Reik

I know I can make the world my own, make Reik as wide as I want. But it is still a river with locks. So yeah, can’t really see how it can be riddled with pirate activity. Does the Reik have locks? I don’t have DOTR with me at the moment, but I thought it was the canals rather than the river that ha...

Re: Winds of Magic

I must admit, I was a bit on the fence on whether to pick this one up yet (mostly because my players have been avoiding interacting with the magic rules like it was made of scorpions), but seeing so many posters involved that I have always had a really high regard for (here and in forums past), has...

Love the Lore of the Heavens section, dry_erase. Great job. The factionalism within the college, its relationship with the Imperial Navy, and its tensions with the Cults of Verena and Morr are particularly good. I may use Raphael Julevno as a patron for my group, the ability to drop obscure hints o...

Can't wait to receive the printed copy (I don't like reading PDF books..)! I've given up on this. Chuck and dry-erase, could you please tell your cubicle7 employers to contract better printing company, so I don't have to wait 6 months to get my books? :P The Amethyst spell 'Speed of Lykos' should h...

Re: Winds of Magic

I actually wrote the section on Cursed Items! So I am responsible for a whole 3 pages of that supplement. Good work! It's a nice blend of humour and Warhammeriness. I particularly like the Fellowship Sunderer. I wrote the Lore of Heavens and two of the Nemeses and I think the book shaped up really ...

14 new careers, 5 suitable for Dwarfs, 5 suitable for High Elves, 6 suitable for Halflings, 3 suitable for Wood Elves. Plenty of non-human options in there... unless you're playing an Ogre.

Re: Input needed for Nulner Skaven- hunting campaign

There's a scenario in Rough Nights and Hard Days set in Nuln, specifically the Opera House. One of the Gotrek and Felix novels 'Skavenslayer' is set in Nuln and might help with your ratty questions too. The Skaven lair in Middenheim may be useful as a model for what you have planned, but it's a grea...

Re: Advice for getting the WFRP tone right for scenarios?

I'm not sure about "Adventures take place in the shadows" While some (possibly even the majority) do, there are some that by necessity are either not in the Shadows or involve major characters supplanting each other and therefore definitionally "not in the shadows". The list isn...

I'm currently playing Masks in a Call of Cthulhu campaign, so I daren't do more than scan what you've shared.

But I really like your choice of locations - much more interesting than translating literally from real world to Warhammer analogues.

Re: Enemy Within Updates (plus other stuff)

"Structurally" it is similar: Assassination->Quest for Hammer->Kill Daemon, save Empire - that is boiling it down to its most basic elements. However, those elements are very different, the assassination phase has a much bigger lead in incorporating the plot hooks from the earlier install...

Re: What Enemy Within material to purchase after the Enemy Within Campaign?

I don't think there is anything that is directly related. There's more info on groups like the low kings, other active cults, more geographic information. I think it comes down to whether you want go out of scope of PBtT or build on top of what is there. What I'd say is that you're spending a lot o...

Re: Enemy Within Updates (plus other stuff)

That it's still essentially Empire In Flames is curious. It's not really I find it curious given the alternatives that have been proposed by both official custodians and fans to Empire In Flames and given that Empire In Flames wasn't part of the original design for The Enemy Within Campaign, though...
