Re: Perilous Realm Podcast :The Thousand Thrones

Once more we release an episode into the void where, hopefully, someone is listening where all podcasts can be found, and here as well . Having sought sanctuary from the deprivation of the Drakwald within the walls of the Reaper's Bounty our companions three are surprised to discover everyone has se...

Re: Enemy Within Volume Three announced!

I think the new post-TEW campaign that Cubicle 7 have announced sounds a little like the exploratory campaign that Pour la Gloire d'Ulric was supposed to posit. (As an aside C7 announced a campaign that will see the PCs visit Lustria and Ulthuan, which is being written with Gav Thorpe - a prolific B...

Re: Enemy Within Volume Three announced!

I should get on with my Perilous Realm Bretonnian campaign then, set in Quenelles and Athel Loren. :D

Good, good. Now after Enemy Within we only need a sourcebook for Bretonnia and perhaps a small campaign set in that part of the Old World and it will make my decade. :)

Re: Enemy Within Volume Three announced!

Yes, @FasterThanJesus did mention it before. To be honest the Dev Diaries are a very strange way of marketing and releasing information that really can only benefit C7 if it's in the public domain, but that's just me.... To further add to the rumour mill Andy Law had this to say about the Power Behi...

Re: Enemy Within Volume Three announced!

They've also announced Middenheim City of the Wolf and Altdorf City of Sigmar as city sourcebooks, not part of the TEW perse, but definitely of use during the campaign and beyond

The Ratcatcher's Guild in the Ubersreik gazetteer is literally the devs of Vermintide. They even are led by a follower of Stromfels because the company is called Fat Shark. :D Yeah, a WFRP CRPG would be awesome in the veins of Baldur's Gate or the earlier Dragon Age. Choose to play a rat-catcher, an...

Re: Enemy Within Volume Two announced! (And a gamemaster screen's too!)

My thoughts are that Carrion on Up the Reik was James Wallis's plan to insert a few threads he intended to pick up in the 5th unpublished Empire in Chaos. The Grand Theogonist, who the PCs are meant to save from the Sons of Ulric and thus be owed a favour by, and the old priest they meet were defini...

Re: Perilous Realm Podcast :The Thousand Thrones

We're back! We have the last part of our Chapter 2 playthrough, where the Company of the Tattered Cloak deal with the fallout from the attack on Pfeifeldorf. There's even a cool map to download in the link below for GM's only. Listen in now where all podcasts can be found, and here as well . Loosely...

Re: Enemy Within Volume Two announced! (And a gamemaster screen's too!)

I'm quite pleased to see these but I still think C7 needs to work out how they communicate these. Really Cubicle 7's site should be the one-stop for news on what they're releasing, but instead we keep finding out more from retailer sites and gossip sites. That said it looks like Andy Law is making g...

Weird Night at the Wolfshead On a dark, stormy night a group of travelers make their way through the Drakwald but are forced to make an unexpected stop in the Old World's most unique hostelry. The Wolfshead Coaching Inn’s warm lights and tall walls offer protection against the shambling horrors of t...

Cover illI feel a bit ridiculous to see those men who always have their weapons in their hands. The guy with guns keep them in his two hands in the two scenes... That is grotesque.

Re: Return of the Lichemaster

I believe there is also a short story with him with Kell just prior to the End Times that's in the 1st issue of the new Inferno by Josh Reynolds. They were going to do a "Heroes" book on Kemmler before they switched to the End Times and this short story would've been a precursor to that. 2) Lichemas...

Re: Do we have any ETA on Rough Night and TEW:DC?

It was released as a PDF drivethrurpg briefly the other day before it was pulled. Some folks have it. Which presumably means it isn't long until the rest of us can order it. I held out for the printed book + pdf combo.

In the Hogshead I think this appeared in the Apocrypha book. They don't actually show up in the module though, so your GM did some good improv there.

Re: Return of the Lichemaster

There's several Lichemaster scenarios. They were originally WFB scenarios - "Terror Of The Lichemaster" is one of the original WFB campaigns, "Vengeance Of The Lichemaster" is the sequel. Then there's Advanced Heroquest's expansion called Terror In The Dark where the Lichemaster shows up. And then t...

Re: Warhammer novels, and short stories

You can get Mark of Damnation for £3 on Amazon ATM. Most Warhammer Fantasy novels are available there for a reasonable price. I agree with the Warhammer Chronicles thing though - it's a shame they're not doing more WF stories as their new horror range would be perfect for the Old World. It's a lot ...

Re: Your opinion on Thousand Thrones and Restless Dead campaings

Eureka: I understand this is sort of the great lost WFRP 1E adventure, not included in any other reprints but this book. The PCs are hired to protect a crazy inventor from thugs who turn out to be corrupt Watchmen. It seems kind of fun, but also pretty railroaded and heavily slanted towards ending ...

Re: Warhammer novels, and short stories

I'm not sure Gotrek and Felix are in Doomstones. They're definitely more WFB than WFRP as the two tend to be more pulp untouchable heroes. They're slaying avatars of gods and are gifted immortality and useful magical items over and over. I always recommend James Wallis's Mark of Heresy and Mark of D...

Re: Your opinion on Thousand Thrones and Restless Dead campaings

I've ran most of Restless Dead and 3 chapters of TTT. TTT is much more satisfying than Restless Dead, which really is just a set of disparate adventures linked together by the most tenuous links. And I say this as a massive Carl Sargent fanboy, and with the knowledge that TTT is also a disparate set...
