Re: The Words of the Law

I've often wondered what WFRP would be like if they focused as much on Gods of Law as the Ruinous Powers of Chaos.

Re: Thousand Thrones

Totally agree about Karl -- ambiguity needs to be maintained until late in the campaign. Also, I love the handouts! Strong work.

Re: Fate points and critical hits

In my games spending a Fate Point voids the roll and PCs are simply knocked out or otherwise taken out of action. Players are required to create some reason why they avoided the death blow -- slipped on a rock, a miraculous bird flew by at just the right moment, the sun reflected off armor at just t...

Re: HP Lovecraft

Which one's did you go for? My personal favourite is the White Tree, an original tale they cooked up as a loose sequel to Call of Cthulhu's Tale of Inspector Legrasse, that could easily be repurposed for WFRP. "Haunter of the Dark" and "Dreams in the Witch House." They put a ton of effort into prod...

Re: HP Lovecraft

If you like HP Lovecraft but find his prose a little overwhelming, I recommend HPLHS's Dark Adventure Radio Theatre - full cast dramatisations of his stories and lately adaptions of Call of Cthulhu campaigns. https://store.hplhs.org/collections/dark-adventure-radio-theatre There's a free episode as...

Re: Thousand Thrones

So we played on more of Chapter 1 yesterday - having returned from the swamp the PCs go running around the Doodkanal. Despite losing a lot of excess silver in bribes they managed to do quite well, eventually getting the map to the Cultists' HQ entering the sewers and entering it. Although the playe...

Re: Feedback

Added some more sites to the Resources topic.

Cap, thanks for the suggestion! I'll look into changing the "Home" link. It's been a while since I've gotten inside the code of a phpbb forum, so no promises.

The 'new post(s)' icon is useful, so please do keep that.
What do you know, removing topic icons removed the new post icon. Can't have that!

The '?' symbol is a topic icon, used to differentiate different types of new posts. I'm not a fan, so I removed them. You'll still see the "hot topic" and "new post" icons, as they're part of the theme.

Holy mother of Nurgle. Graeme Davis is on the forum. Pardon me while I geek out a little bit. I've been a huge fan since I started playing WFRP around 1987. Shadows Over Bogenhafen especially deserves every bit of praise it has received over the past 30 years. Death on the Reik is my favorite RPG su...

Re: Rough Nights & Hard Days

Thanks. I'm glad to be here. Many thanks for setting this place up. I'd like to mention the forum on my blog. I haven't yet, as you said you wanted to test the forum out first. Let me know when you're ready, though, so I can make a post. I'd say go ahead. This place is ready as it ever will be. Tha...

Re: Feedback

Hmm, good feedback. I'll look into editing the files for the "most recent" stuff.

The "orange" is this theme's "red" version. I might dig a little into the CSS and see if I can make it a bit darker, or at least more red.

The Bazaar forum -- maybe. It never seemed to be used much at StS.
