Re: Enemy Within Updates (plus other stuff)
I was hoping to find some more stuff about non-human careers, but excited to get a list of extra trapping.

Old World Medicinals
In and amidst my many half finished projects, I am trying to outline the next chapter of my campaign which I intend to be an adaptation of Philip K Dick's book Ubik. Obviously an aerosol spray is out of the question for The Old World (is it? Hmmm) but what other forms could a medicinal take that wou...

Re: Dark Reapers desing
If you're talking about the Eldar/Aeldari Dark Reapers, I think they look fine and in line with the rest of the army look. Alternate heads for conversions are cheap and easily available if you don't like the look of them. I think they are no better or worse looking in their aesthetic than most Space...

Re: Power creep?
Some scattered thoughts orbiting a central theme, here we go: To start, it depends on your definition of *over*powered. Similar numbers of similar enemies will cease to be a threat in the same perilous sense to a party consisting of a Thug, Hedge Wizard, Herbalist, Merchant when compared to thousand...

Re: In fighting rules
Not as I read it, I believe you are correct. Although your GM may decide to give a circumstantial bonus to wrestling or knife fighting or hand to hand disarm tests if one opponent has In-Fighting and the other does not.

Re: Strong back abd strike to stun
Absolutely, that would be my reading as well. Opposed Melee tests are for when you are comparing your Melee skill against someone else's Melee skill as in you are using your weapon to parry an incoming attack. Once you are defending yourself with something other than a weapon, then it's no longer an...

Re: Strong back abd strike to stun
My reading of it leads me to say no. Strong Back applies to Opposed Strength tests which I understand to mean Strength vs Strength, so something like wrestling or tug-of-war or pushing a recalcitrant mule. The Pummel test is Strength vs Endurance which I would understand to be something else. I'm th...

Re: Resources for adding Steampunk elements?
I believe the suggestion was to look at Main Gauche from the Zweihander system. However, I cannot vouch for that since I have not read it.

Re: Looking for input on greenskin campaign
My own thoughts on greenskins is that it would be quite extraordinary for them to have writing and be literate in a language other than their own. You may be better served to have the villain be Skaven, or even a coven of Dark Elves posing as High/Wood Elves. Partly because if you're trying to strin...

Re: Best adventures
I didn't like Witch's Song, although it's inclusion of some other elements (Dark Elves) instead of cultists, skaven, or greenskins was very refreshing.

Re: Best careers
"Best" is entirely subjective, so it's hard to give you a concrete answer. What are generally considered to be top tier careers (Champion, Wizard Lord, Crime Lord, High Priest, etc) will take so long to accomplish anyways that they're only worthwhile to think about if your campaign is goin...

Re: Mutation and Ableism
Perhaps there is a Church of Sigmar (or Shallaya) ritual (requiring a priest of sufficient ability, a quest in and of itself, then payment, etc) that can determine whether or not a deformity bears the taint of chaos or not. And perhaps that person can be given a certified letter from a priest that s...

Re: Elven Vampires
Exactly. Something gone wrong with experimental High Magic, yada yada yada, elven vampire. I like the idea of having to siphon magic. My initial idea had been that the elf in question would lose it's soul into the Aethyr (been reading a lot of 40k lore and also Retribution of Scyrah lore). The elven...

Elven Vampires
Let me preface this: Yes, I am aware that according to strict canon, Warhammer Elves are immune to the Curse of Nagash. With that said.... ....What if it's just called the Curse of Nagash, because Nagash was the first one to try and recreate-at-will and harness what had previously been a part...

Re: Advice for getting the WFRP tone right for scenarios?
I'm not sure about "Adventures take place in the shadows" While some (possibly even the majority) do, there are some that by necessity are either not in the Shadows or involve major characters supplanting each other and therefore definitionally "not in the shadows".
