Re: The Twin Tailed.
There is another twist. If you read the description of Sigmar in The Enemy Within , a twin-tailed comet is not mentioned as one of his symbols! The text says: “The cult of Sigmar is usually associated with two symbols: a stylised Dwarven Warhammer, and an octagon formed by two superimposed squares....

Re: The Twin Tailed.
The plot thickens. The similarity can be exaggerated or minimised depending on the particulars of how both symbols are drawn, but both symbols are a circle with two 'squiggly lines' emanating away from one half of that circle. I can't remember where i saw it now, but i have seen Tzeentch's symbol do...

Re: The Twin Tailed.
I didn't buy into the dev. diary so no, alas, i have not had the opportunity to read Graeme Davis' pulled intro. (This is the first thing i've come across that would tempt me into buying the special edition with the dev. diaries.) I suspect the razor is likely to cut true in this case, but i'm more ...

Re: Enemy In Shadows Companion Available
I've had a quick flick through of the companion and i'm quite pleased by what i've seen, not least the choice to keep things as they were originally intended or written (in at least one case) rather than keep up with some other more recent version of the Warhammer Fantasy universe. I think it bodes ...

The Twin Tailed.
It occurred to me that i've never, to my recollection, seen mention of the similarity between Tzeentch's twin tailed symbol and Sigmar's twin tailed comet. Has this ever been discussed or used before? Is there any official mention of the similarity? It came to mind because i've just read Phil Gallag...

Re: Combat example
To be clear @CapnZapp, is this example of play an example of how combat should go, or an example of how combat shouldn't go?

Re: Missing: Pamphlet about mutants are people too!
there's another mutant orphanage in welcome to marienburg, i think. but that's also a secretive thing. You must mean The Orpanage of St. Rutha, which is not a mutant orphanage as such, but an orphanage which includes some mutant children. I checked Fear The Wurst and Dying of the Light. It's neithe...

Re: Missing: Pamphlet about mutants are people too!
Was it in 'The Dying Of The Light'? As i recall there was a hostel of sorts for mutants.

Re: Enemy In Shadows Companion Available
I took a look at the Boxtree 'Old World Timeline' and it turns out that the next year in that timeline is.... 2492. So that brings us back to where we were before. IIRC the story with Cicatrice and the Mecklenbergs, "Ignorant Armies" (by Kim Newman alias Jack Yeovil), is really old. And lo...

Re: Enemy In Shadows Companion Available
As far as I can tell, none of the official WFRP or WFB publications (not counting Boxtree or Black Library) have ever listed a date of death for Karl-Franz's father. Boxtree, which is an official publisher, but a novel one, not a roleplay nor battle one, did, p. vij of its Warhammer novels and anth...

Re: Cubicle 7 dropping the Lord of the Rings
I bothered to do some research and answer my own question. It would seem that Sophisticated Games has a licence from Middle Earth Enterprises to "develop[] and package[] all book-based JRR Tolkien games". I would think that TTRPGs would almost certainly fall within that remit, though that'...

Re: Enemy In Shadows Companion Available
Elector situation in 2512 and other fluff there is pretty interesting considering situation in circa 252X. I guess it depends what is going to be canon in fourth edition. When The Enemy Within was first released i don't think there were any future events that needed considering. True. But now there...

Re: Cubicle 7 dropping the Lord of the Rings
Did anyone else know that this game was a licenced game? I realised that the Tolkien estate may have property rights but i didn't know until this announcement to cease publishing was made that another company owned the game rights. I had thought that The One Ring was entirely the creation of Cubicl...

Re: Enemy In Shadows Companion Available
There weren't any pregen characters in the Enemy In Shadows either were there? I guess they must be doing away with the pregens altogether then. I think it's possible they're not bothering as nothing really hooks to pregen characters in the main campaign unlike the original which had quite a bit of...

I'm a little bit excited to see what's in it. I'm expecting it to be, or at least hoping it will be full of revised and new stuff.
