Re: WFRP Social Justice & Representation

In a show of solidarity many halfling farmers are refusing to use the pitchfork as part of their farming routines. Seeking less offensive alternatives that are culturally sensitive the halflings have even gone to the extent of bringing in a wizard from the coast as a sensitivity specialist before th...

Re: WFRP Social Justice & Representation

I don't identify as right-wing though. More anarcho-snarky with liberal tendencies.

Brilliant! Mind if I compile this and post it to the WFRP Gamemasters group on FB as an example of right wing social commentary? With proper credit of course.

Re: WFRP Social Justice & Representation

I was dealing with a far larger issue... GW scale creep on their miniatures. 28mm shouldn't be a problem for a cake.

You guys should write this up and put it out there. I bet the WFRP community would be really impressed with your clever take on trans issues. :)

Re: WFRP Social Justice & Representation

After the Mootland Games 'Arry aka Smiley Happyfeet is to marry Luddy "the Muscles from Auerswald" Lowhaven. This has caused controversy. Former cake-master chef and now TERMite leader Jaques Murrington refused to make the cake, citing the proposed 28mm scale replica fudge ogre groom ornament on the...

Re: WFRP Social Justice & Representation

Halfling poet Davfire Radclin, who became famous as a child by reciting Jakey Rolling's poetry has turned on him, publicly denouncing him as a narrow-minded bigot at the start of the annual Mootland Games. Of course Davfire is preparing for his greatest challenge, taking on og... sorry... halfling '...

Re: WFRP Social Justice & Representation

If anything that kind of humorous scenario hook can make some lovely 2020 commentary on the controversies facing cis-female athletes. Just the kind of "thought provoking" content I'm sure everyone will welcome. "'Arry might be 7 ft. tall and built like a small watch tower, but we found him as a calf...

Re: WFRP Social Justice & Representation

Heroes in the sense you can have them as a model, but certainly not in the Pure of Heart Hero. The fiction books etc. have always portrayed them as the necessary evil etc.

Re: WFRP Social Justice & Representation

I've been playing a lot of Vermintide in lockdown and I would describe the Witch Hunter character as definitely the anti-hero, and he gets a fair amount of disdain off the other PCs (often in my view unfairly). He also seems to think he's the main character/leader, which he isn't. :D I actually like...

Re: WFRP Social Justice & Representation

I suppose the last bit is good if you want to make the point that transgender rights are wrong and ridiculous. But that sounds an awful lot like "involving modern gender politics" to me. Well, it is a thread about that Theo. But that is what those individual GMs and writers add to the setting, and ...

Re: WFRP Social Justice & Representation

I'm a big fan of playing games for the sake of it and keeping my political inclinations out of it (which is easy, I have disdain for all spectrums of the UK political spectrum). I'm not particularly interested in involving modern gender politics in my game, as it's not something that really interest...

Re: Eye for an Eye 4E conversion

It starts in Ubersreik, and it let me nerd out my DTP skills. I did think about releasing an Old World Adventures variant cover as it is an old adventure and that line has been neglected by C7.

Eye for an Eye 4E conversion

Whatho all. I've made a 4e conversion for the Eye for an Eye conversion at https://perilousrealm.itch.io/eye - this was the starting adventure for 3rd Edition. You can download it free at https://perilousrealm.itch.io/eye and I hope you enjoy it. This is a recreation of the original introductory 3rd...

Re: Perilous Realm Podcast :The Thousand Thrones

Greetings all, With the recent lockdown I have been working from home, which means I can edit this old podcast whilst working. Webhosting is down at the moment - someone's cybersquatting on the old site, so all the downloads are offline for the moment, but I'll rectify this soon. So - the return of ...

Re: Adjusting the Initiate career

Actually in OD&D clerics didn't get spells until 2nd level. In the lore of WFRP I'm happy with the 1e/2e approach as it means that not every priest is a spell-caster. Divine magic is relatively rare, not ubiquitous. It also allows for most of the clergy to be non-spellcasting, making friars, flagell...
