Re: Gurkhal's Careers for Bretonnia and Beyond
Hey, it's part of the knight's oath to protect the peasants! sure that might not mean they care about them and the flog them from time to time, but if someone (else) comes around making unfair demands of them and claiming they have a god's favor on their side well that smacks of blasphemy. and what...

Re: Gurkhal's Careers for Bretonnia and Beyond
2 races - different talents/skills available by dukedom, like the Swordborn Carcassone trait? I must ask you then, what the difference between like two races with 14 versions of each, and 28 races straight off? I do agree that 28 new races is probably to much, but I'm not sure what really separates...

Re: Gurkhal's Careers for Bretonnia and Beyond
i think bretonnia is actually a lot harder for cults of personality to get by in- mostly in that questing and grail knights tend to rove around looking for anything suspect that might impose on the grace the lady provides by way of nobles tending to their villages hoping to find evil to thwart. see...

Gurkhal's Careers for Bretonnia and Beyond
I made this thread to have a as a kind of common thread to essentially throw up links to 4th edition careers that I've done and so share with the community for a world and setting that I really enjoy and is attached to. It's intended to essentially be a kind of compressor so that instead of throwing...

Re: Just hear me out- a music thread!
Sure, I'm game for this. I'll add two songs that can inspire you for Bretonnia and which I personally don't think you've heard before, and that I myself is very attached too. :) This one is with lyrics. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ZbQQaMuatE And this one comes with a separate page for the lyric...

Re: Return of the Gnome
Personally I'm not an old timer so I can't say that gnomes or no gnomes really concern me. I've never played 1st edition so I don't really feel that I have a relation with the gnomes in Warhammer to either like or dislike them. In fact I don't even know what they are about in the first place!

Re: NDM: vampire generation
I would think you can do either, but I am pretty sure that the Vampire careers are intended to be for the full version. And indeed for having Vampires as PCs in high powered bad guys games. The quick method seems, at least to me, to be like its more of a "monster of the week" approach for ...

Re: Looking for an encounter idea
I'd google pictures of "nightmare monster" and look at what you get as a source of inspiration. Or just google pictures of "fantasy monster" and you should get plenty of stuff to inspire you. But if you'd like a more special suggestion, which of course isn't very usual to Dreamwo...

Re: Birth Omens for Bretonnian Characters
Thanks. I was thinking for a time to make it for 4e edition but given that I don't have all that much experience yet with that system yet I decided to keep it to the 2nd edition. But maybe I'll upgrade it to 4e one with a final version.

Birth Omens for Bretonnian Characters
Given the underdeveloped nature of Bretonnia compared to the Empire, the core of the setting, I wrote up a little list of omens to work as a kind of answer to the Imperial Doomings for Bretonnian characters. Its purely an RP thing but I hope that it can perhaps add a little flavor to Bretonnian char...

Re: The Enemy Within: a Companion
Is it just me who find it amusing there are more editions of the fan companion to a campaign than there is for the core rule system?

GW disclaimer?
I've writen up something small for Bretonnia that I would like to publish on the web with a thread on this forum and with a link and so. But I can't see to find that fancy little disclaimer text that such material should be published with to keep the legal stuff straight. So if anyone would have lin...

Re: Julie d'Aubigny
My suggestion for setting it in Bretonnia would be, as I did in my campaign, to move the timeline a bit further into the future (maybe 10-15 years or so) and say that Louen is dead and Bretonnia has a new king who provides better possibilities for the RPG game.

Re: Call of Cthulhu rpg adventure 'Amongst the Ancient Trees' using WFRP 2e
If you don't want to overflow the players with Chaos then I would perhaps suggest that it was an ordinary metorite which brought with it a rare metal or mineral, perhaps gromlim or something like it, and that either a band of humans, or even a depending on where you are an expedition of Dwarfs, have...

Re: Grudges!
How did you and your players settle those grudges? I can't imagine the innkeeper needed to pay with blood for overpriced beer? That's probably how our groups dwarf player would settle it (He's twelve and wanted to play a dwarven terrorist because dwarfs "are cute" and terrorists "are...
