Re: WFRP 4 analysis
I appreciate all your responses on the topic of putting percentile di(c)e together with opposed rolls and i see what you all mean about the opposing roll becoming a random modifier for the protagonist's roll, and a random modifier that appears to have lost some of it's meaning in gaming and simulati...

Re: Looking for an encounter idea
There was a 'Sandman' ( Neil Gaiman ) story in which someone was caught up in the dream of a city, that is to say that a city as an entity was dreaming and someone was caught up in it.

Re: WFRP 4 analysis
Could Advantage become a group mechanic rather than an individual character mechanic? The increment of Advantage gained would need to be lowered, or something similar done to tone down the speed of increase. I would suggest trying increments of 1 to start with. As a bonus i think it could work very ...

Someone needs to make a 'why you went adventuring' table. It's the proper way to resolve these things.

Re: The Words of the Law
Canonically Solkan still exists and is worshipped in Tilea and to a lesser extent Marienburg. Whether he was ever worshipped in the Empire is a good question as 2e onwards Sigmar seems to have stolen his shtick as God of asshole witch hunters. That could be an interesting in-game bit of politics. W...

Re: The Words of the Law
Interesting. And I guess there are reasons that I have never encountered the Law gods before anywhere. They don't seem to fit thematically in the Warhammer universe very well. They do and they don't, depending on which version of the Warhammer universe you are referring to. The most likely reason y...

Re: The Words of the Law
What's the difference between in current gods and the law gods? Verena seems to be the God of Laws, Justice and wisdom, and the other gods each represent something "good". 'Law' in WFRP 1st edition was an opposite to 'Chaos'. In the same way that the gods of Chaos are for disorder and cha...

Re: Stunning and Knockout
As the article that CapnZapp links to above illustrates, and from what i've heard and read on the subject, if you're aiming to be realistic then deliberately 'knocking someone out' takes quite a lot of skill, and even then has somewhat random consequences. If the 'knockout' lasts for more than a few...

I don't know if they are ever mentioned in WFRP second edition books, but you could use the Slann from WFRP first edition.

The 'new post(s)' icon is useful, so please do keep that. What do you know, removing topic icons removed the new post icon. Can't have that! Now i've noticed the post icons when replying i can't say i'm a fan of them either, given that they are entirely up to the poster and so somewhat arbitary, bu...

Re: Feedback
Most of the different symbols, such as 'hot topic' ( i presume ) and 'new posts', are fairly intuitive, but i don't know what the '?' symbol means, so a key to what the different symbols mean would be useful. Alternatively, or additionally, having a text description pop up in response to hovering ov...

Re: Rough Nights & Hard Days
I see the 'Starter Set' has an estimated release date of 'May 2019' on that website ( https://www.miniaturemarket.com/cb72401.html ). I suspect Miniature Market is being cautious with their estimated release date in the case of the 'Starter Set', given the scheduled release of 'First Quarter 2019' g...
