Re: Warhammer Old World, a.k.a. WFB returns.
Interesting news. I have wondered - How successful has Age of Sigmar actually been ? Has it been able to bring totally new generation of young players to Warhammer ? How much did they lose old WFB fans ? Has it been commercial success ? GW certainly has put great effort to AoS, but still… It was li...

Re: Playing in Norsca
i'd think the major differences are that norsca has little farming compared to the empire and bretonnia (they're fishers/whalers in addition to raiding as i understood it) and their beliefs are a tribal thing, so two tribes might worship entirely different pantheons of gods even though they're like...

Playing in Norsca
Slightly suicidal and somewhat mad, I've launched a project to my group to GM a campaign set i Norsca for 4e. I've gotten hold of the Norscan supplements from Jackdays wonderful site for some base material and I'm feeling ready to do this, including the vast ammount of conversion to 4e. But before I...

Cautiously positive news to me. But to early to say how it will come out.

On a second look I see that now. When I looked the first time I looking for a link to see if someone had gotten before me, so that's why I missed your post on the matter.

Re: Death on the Reik: Getting PCs off the barge
Corrupt River Wardens coming along, in large numbers and well-armed, to correct some fake taxes can perhaps be used and incentive to if possible event ditch the barge entirely when the time for that comes? But combine greedy little River Warden buggers with sticky hands and that law against sleeping...

Re: Gurkhal's Careers for Bretonnia and Beyond
There seems to have been some problems with access to the Herrimault pdf. That should be fixed now but please send me a word if the problem persists.

Re: Does it mean "Human" or "Reiklander"?
If you have any of the 2nd edition source books, they have rules for skills and occasionally attribute variations by province and nation. E.g. a Nordlander has Consumer Alcohol or Speak Langauge Norse instead of the Reiklander's Gossip. It's a pretty good starting point. True that. Although since I...

Re: End Times: Nagash - The 'Bad'
Without knowing what you plan to put in the 'Ugly' category, I would also put the whole Malekith fiasco in this category as well. Malekith attempts to become the new Phoenix King, gets rejected in the Flame of Asuryan, and then leaves with his followers to go become the Dark Elves. In the End Times...

Does it mean "Human" or "Reiklander"?
I was wondering if the stats for creating humans in the core are supposed to be for all members of the human race or is to specifically Reiklanders that are created by them? This has some importance for those of us who wants to run 4e outside the Reikland or even outside of the Empire entirely, but ...

Re: High mage question
Here's one take on how I might do High Magic. This is somewhat off the cuff, so if you need any explanations please ask, I'm happy to go into further detail. - Arcane spells can now combine lore traits from any lore(s) the wizard knows at a -10 penalty for each additional lore. (Blast benefits from...

Re: High mage question
Crabs are as they are. But anyway, giving some basic rules for High Magic is certainly a thing that should be considered, by me if by no one else, for my own games. I would be interested in your thoughts, if you would be willing to share. I'm all to happy to share what I've got on the subject right...

Re: High mage question
Here I come, and I will confess that I personally haven't even started a serious 4e campaign yet but I will post regardless. That is that I suggest that not only getting a second wind for the mage, but I would actually recommend that for an additional buy the High Elf Mage will be able to combine sp...
