Re: Gurkhal's Careers for Bretonnia and Beyond
2 races - different talents/skills available by dukedom, like the Swordborn Carcassone trait?

Re: Gurkhal's Careers for Bretonnia and Beyond
Bretonnian characters IMHO should be two races. Bretonnian Lowborn and Bretonnian Highborn . That's because racially they should get different starting skills. Peasants and nobles in Bretonnia live completely different lives and the opportunity for literacy or heraldry study is universal to all nobl...

Re: Perilous Realm Podcast :The Thousand Thrones
Part 3 of the Unquiet Place in our Thousand Thrones is one that has quite a lot of bite to it. Available where all podcast are found, even those that suck... Our heroes continue to stick their necks out to aid the people of Pfeifeldorf. You can Count on a deadly combat, in the vein of their previous...

Re: Perilous Realm Podcast :The Thousand Thrones
Part 2 of the Unquiet Place in our Thousand Thrones playthrough is available where all eggs-cellent podcasts are distributed. In their quest to find the missing chicken, Gertie, our heroes discover that while talk is cheep, fowl corruption goes all the way to the top of Pfeifeldorf's society, Will t...

Re: Rough Nights & Hard Days
I expect nothing. (I'd also love a more precise date than Quarter 2, like 20th July). I'm normally a patient guy but I find it easiest not to think about WFRP4e and it's Douglas Adams approach to release dates. I'm running WFRP2e, so I've got a whole load of stuff to run before I -need- to run WFRP4...

Re: Perilous Realm Podcast :The Thousand Thrones
I think it's fair to say my players enjoyed Chapter 2 way more than Chapter 1. Way back in Episode 2 they had a similar problem to the map problem - they didn't have any rope and only realised this half way up a climb. The resultant noise of them knocking rubble over was enough to alert every cultis...

Re: Rough Nights & Hard Days
I'd really like to know, when is this coming out and how much is it. Everything else is gravy. And possibly 1-2 pages of preview as a pdf?

Re: Perilous Realm Podcast :The Thousand Thrones
That was a typo but yes Unquiet Place does seem apt.
Pleased to report the group enjoyed the adventure. We burn through it in 2 parts, with a third extra part with subplots keeping the PCs in Pfeifeldorf.

Re: Perilous Realm Podcast :The Thousand Thrones
This week we move on to Chuck's opus/regret the Unquiet Place. Available where all good podcasts are distributed, and probably where several dodgy ones like this are too. The Companions of the Tattered Cloak leave Marienburg and wind their way along the banks of the River Reik towards the village of...

Re: Perilous Realm Podcast :The Thousand Thrones
In this week's episode we finish Chapter One of this gargantuan campaign as our exploration of Marienburg ends in the Thousand Thrones. First though our trio of heroes must face the remnants of the Three Moons Cult in the sewers and make sense of all the clues they have found so far about the Crusad...

Check the Liber Fanatica Defenders of the Forest book - the disclaimer is in the credits. I usually put GW DONT SUE in Britannic Runes myself.

Re: Birth Omens for Bretonnian Characters
I like it - 4e will probably necessitate a lot of Dooming-like Talents for other human PCs so I foresee a lot of similar things for the different cultures.

Perilous Realm Podcast :The Thousand Thrones
Being an attempt to play through the WFRP 2E Campaign The Thousand Thrones with the various Liber Fanatica expansions and slight reworkings of the scenarios to make player agency a little more apparent. In the latest episode our heroes are exploring the Doodkanal looking for a reprobate called Jurge...

Re: WFRP 4 analysis
I've run WFRP4e once, and it was fun. I like the system more or less, and if you like 2e I think 4e's material is easily converted back, at least compared to 3e. Skills work better in 4e than 2e - where a Perception Skill check without the skill gives a PC about a 10-20% chance of success. Advantage...

The Sad Fate of Lonely Pieter
The next thing I'm thinking of doing is writing up some small subplots to add to the campaign. There's one - the Sad Fate of Lonely Pieter - which I briefly touched on in my own playthrough. Sadly most of my ideas came after my run of that part of the scenario - but it'd be an additional encounter i...

Re: The Words of the Law
He pops up in the start of the Archaon Novel - the prophecies about the Everchosen were written in a Tilean monastery worshipping Solkan. And he's mentioned a fair bit in Black Library's stuff.
