i'd personally replace "Savvy or Suave" with "Beneath notice or Cat-Tongued". and MAYBE replace cool with gambling or entertainer of some kind. they are after all a cowardly and superstitious lot....

Re: Nurgle cults - what defines them?

Thank you everyone who has contributed! For those interrested - below is a short summary of where I am heading with this based on your suggestions. ----------------------------------- Campaign background: It is set in 2312. Magnus the Pious has routed the chaos invasion in the north and is busy re-...

Re: Nurgle cults - what defines them?

I am a bit surprised by the link of Tzeentch to the elite - I would expect him to have followers among the wretched lower classes of society, who crave for change. The elite generally are pretty content where they are and would favour stability. But that aside. no, it makes a lot of sense, tzeentch...

yeah, but that's a different kind of "elemental" and is really more avatars of the schools of magic. shit's complicated.
What's an aqshy avatar then?

Re: Fan made?

Weren’t there elementals in the past? Even a scenario that had one? EDIT: Element of Risk (White Dwarf #107) has an elemental and elemental spells. yeah, but that was in the 80s, and we don't know if he wants to tap that whole mess. it's not like D&D anyways, there's no elemental plane, the ele...

Re: Fan made?

Currently I'm running a campaign using my adventures and I am running into the problem that a lot of the basic stuff that exist in almost every fantasy setting is missing. Stuff like elementals- depending on who you ask, those don't exist in warhammer.....maybe the problem is you're unfamilier with...

Re: Combat example

Does no one feel that the snowball thing (I assume this is a reference to how advantage and differences in skill ratings affect hitting, damage and avoiding getting hit, whilst also being self-perpetuating) helps make combat risky? risk that cannot be properly controlled by the gamemaster isn't a g...

Re: Nurgle cults - what defines them?

anyways i only just now bothered to check the original post- I am looking for inspiration for a Nurgle cult in my game. What drives them? What would a member be before joining? How would they recruit? Pointers to official material is great but I would rather hear how you have defined them in your ga...

Re: One week to flesh out a new adventure ...

Another reason would be in line with the second answer; by leading the peasants in revolution , the children position themselves as the natural leaders of those peasants. Somehow (possibly with the help of the peasants ) the PCs escape and flee through the tunnel. If peasants were followers of the ...

Re: Wanna help me design my next WFPR campaign? (edition agnostic)

I have a little bit of a problem with the fimirs as smart, however... 'cause the stats tends to paint them as a pretty dumb lot. I can hand-wave that, of course, and the players are unlikely to ever see stats anyway, but for consistency I struggle with making the smart fimir thing stick. (For the r...

Re: Combat example

i'm fully expecting the GM book to mostly be fluff about considering the PCs better ad a few tables for random plot seeds. Are we expecting a GM book? Sorry, I don't keep up with the news and wasn't expecting one (1e and 2e didn't i believe, and 3e maybe?) the rumor is they're making a GM-focused b...

Re: Wanna help me design my next WFPR campaign? (edition agnostic)

as far as tips, i guess i have a few. 1: keep your distance. i know that it's tempting to have them in everything and let the players get to know all the cool ideas you have for them, but the main point of the fimir as far as setting development is people don't really believe they exist and they LIK...

Re: Roadwardens and pistols

Reading this thread I have started thinking about lowering the prices of firearms. I have explained the high cost of firearms by them using a wheellock mechanism, and that being new and complex, with only a few manufacturers (e.g., Dwarf shops in Nuln) being able to produce those. So high demand + ...

yeah, both as antagonists and allies. they're something of a fallback for me with WFRP. why d'you ask?

Re: Combat example

Have you considered, maybe, possibly, with the slimmest of chances, that some people, not all mind you, but certainly some, actually like WFRP4? Fiddly bits and all. you can find adherents to every game system, if you look hard enough (there's still people playing first edition dungeons and dragons...
