Re: Why I think combat is less exciting in v4

Playing 4e I do wonder whether whiff factor is preferable to Success Levels in combat. I'm still not sure -- some problems are solved, some problems are introduced. But I've never enjoyed combat, as a player or GM. That's not only WFRP though, I've always thought combat was the least enjoyable, most...

Re: Winds of Magic

You can blame me for the 128 new Colour Lore spells. :) C7 spent at least a couple of months editing and playtesting them, but it looks like the drafts I submitted were only tweaked here and there. I only managed to playtest a dozen or so of the spells with my group. However, I can say that some of...

Re: Winds of Magic

Very interesting! Do you know who did the writing for the spells? Ever since 2e Realms of Sorcery (one of my favorite supplements), I've been interested in the color magic system in WFRP and the intrigues between the colleges. My own Winds of Chaos campaign is based on it. Who knows, maybe I'll fini...

Re: Winds of Magic

Love the Lore of the Heavens section, dry_erase. Great job. The factionalism within the college, its relationship with the Imperial Navy, and its tensions with the Cults of Verena and Morr are particularly good. I may use Raphael Julevno as a patron for my group, the ability to drop obscure hints of...

Ha, I can only dream of having that kind of pull.

Re: Winds of Magic

Good work! It's a nice blend of humour and Warhammeriness. I particularly like the Fellowship Sunderer. I wrote the Lore of Heavens and two of the Nemeses and I think the book shaped up really well, regardless of whether my stuff is any good! Thank you! Oooh, I'm going to read through your stuff now.

I actually wrote the section on Cursed Items! So I am responsible for a whole 3 pages of that supplement.

Re: Enemy Within Updates (plus other stuff)

Something Rotten in Kislev wasn't meant to be part of TEW but for marketing purposes it was shoehorned in. IIRC, Empire in Flames was hastily ordered and put together with the express purpose of closing the TEW campaign before GW rolled everything over to Flame.

“Regrettably, the scribes involved in collating the final document for The Imperial Zoo were mauled by a Griffon — as such it has moved to Q4 for release in PDF.”

Love it

Welp seems like this thread has run its course. Instead of continuing to flog this poor dead horse, I’ll just go ahead and close her up.

Reading through the thread -- the last few pages especially, I'd like to remind posters to try to keep the rhetoric here polite and respectful please.

Come up with a little tag line for the forum (like “thousand threads” or “small but vicious board”) and I’ll set it up.

It’s Wound loss, so directly off Wounds without consideration of Toughness or Armor. I totally forgot I was working on this, maybe it’s time to dust it off and give it another look.

I asked her before all this went down if I could do exactly that, and the consensus was she would open herself up to legal liability under the new European privacy laws. It is a tragedy that all that information was lost.
