Re: Enemy Within Updates (plus other stuff)

Theo wrote: Tue Mar 02, 2021 6:36 am Well, the format is somewhat similar, there are a number of NPCs bickering with each other, and there's a hedge maze (but no escaped monsters hiding in it this time). I don't think there's any heavier borrowing of specific content from the 3E adventure here.
Interesting to know. Thanks!

Re: Master of Shadows

I haven't had a chance to delve into much of the Liber Fanatica material (yet), but I'm interested to see if anyone else has any thoughts on it.

Ah, yes, that's the one. For some reason in my head I thought it was called the Graf's Garden Party, but I must be getting confused. Assuming now that it doesn't bear any resemblance. :?

That would be great. Like I said, they're only minor things, but it would be a shame for them to slip through.

Re: Enemy Within Updates (plus other stuff)

I'm intrigued by the Graf's Garden Party. Does it bear any similarities to the similarly named event in WFRP3's The Enemy Within?

Re: Shrines of Sigmar

Just picked this up and found it a very interesting read.

Is there any way of submitting errata for it? I found a couple of (very, very) minor errors, but I can't find it on the list of publications in the errata submission form.

Re: Empire Military Organization

More or less what Orin J. and Overlord said. The WFRP3 supplement Omens of War actually has some really good information about this, including diagrams of some example armies and their organisation. Ironically it's one of the less popular supplements because the background it provides is seen as too...

Here you go, all three physical handouts for Horror of Hugeldal. Normally I'd have scanned them, but I'm working from home due to the continuing influence of Nurgle (which seems somehow appropriate in this case), so photos will have to do.

Re: LIBER INFECTUS - An Unusual Note?

I'm running Horror of Hugeldal next week and can't seem to find the "Handout: An Unusual Note" mentioned on p. 43. I am admittedly pretty dense, so is it there and I'm just not seeing it? Is it not in the module? Or is it just not reproduced digitally? A lot of the handouts for 3e adventu...

Re: Viydagg Retcon/Return

No problem. I've actually never read the Flashman novels, but since that's who Ciaphas Cain always seems to get compared to, maybe I should. There's also a bit of a Blackadder vibe to the stories too.

dry_erase wrote: Thu Jan 07, 2021 1:21 pm "Brunner Does A Runner!" would have been a better title.

Actually, I'd enjoy reading any Black Library series where the hero deals with conflict by legging it.
It's 40k rather than Warhammer, but are you aware of Ciaphas Cain? That's his go-to plan (not that it ever works).

Re: What is the right of eagrel?

Yeah, something like this certainly suits my own personal view of the Empire. There are enough female electors (at least in WFRP1) that the Empire seems to be more egalitarian than the real world Holy Roman Empire, whether or not you have a specific concept to explain it.

Re: What is the right of eagrel?

Yes, it seems like the writers of Midgard made up the term "eagrel". Short of contacting Tim Eccles directly (if that's possible), I don't think you'll find a definitive answer to your other question. Taken literally from what little there is, I would say "the right of eagrel" is...

Re: What is the right of eagrel?

Gleichstellen = to treat as equal, so the idea of applying that term to a woman being legally declared a man seems right. But as for "eagrel", I also haven't been able to find anything other than the Midgard reference (although I've only done a very brief search. Given that the "eagre...

Well look at that, another 3e adventure (albeit fan-written) reworked for 4e!
