Re: Hedgefolk stuff
That's fair, but if you get to the Apprentice Wizard and/or Journeyman Wizard career, then I don't see the need for a Wizardcraft talent because you already have some (albeit limited) access to College Magic.

Re: Hedgefolk stuff
If that's how you want to solve the problem, I think that's fine, but a person with the Wizardcraft talent probably shouldn't or wouldn't be able to pass themselves off as a real wizard to another actual wizard. Nor to a persistent witchhunter.

Re: Questions about Lore and rules of Warhammer
Again, this is probably up to your GM and how they want to run things. But I can answer how I would run it. A wizard using their Second Sight might be able to see how the winds bend and collect around an individual but probably wouldn't be able to discern why the winds are collecting around that ind...

Re: Balance between mosters and pcs
A soldier may have a WS that high, but the merchant, priest, boatman, scholar, herbalist, or outlaw adventuring companions? No, they probably won't. Otherwise, I'd just say that balancing encounters is part of the skill and craft of being a GM. Up to and including keeping that balance going as advan...

Re: C7d20 - Cubicle 7 d20 Fantasy RPG
I like it, I think the adventure books will be worth reading. But at the end of the day I personally don't like the D&D/d20 ruleset, so I don't have much interest in the core books (the one exception might be the Monster Manual because some new inspiration on that front is usually not a bad thin...

That depends on what you mean by 'Fast-burning fuel' If you mean something combustible/explosive approaching gasoline or rocket fuel, then I would say no. If you mean something a bit slower like tar/pitch/bitumen/natural petroleum then I would say yes (dependent on rarity). Regarding Shroud of Invis...

Re: Lustria is out!
It looks interesting, but I think there's far too much devoted to making Lizardmen PCs and not enough for me to feel like I can run an adventure in Lustria without pulling in a lot of non-WFRP sources. How I feel about this book depends a lot on whether I'm taking a perspective of WFRP 4e taken on i...

Re: Brainstorming how to adapt a one-shot.
The short question is how to adapt the concept of Walkie Talkies and/or a radio into WFRP?

Brainstorming how to adapt a one-shot.
So I was watching this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2KYqA7a_uZo
Anyone willing to help me brainstorm about adapting this to WFRP to play as a oneshot?

"Curses, foiled again!"
"At last, the nightmare is over."
"The curse... is now yours... to deal with."
"Thank you."

Re: Putting Dex back into 2nd ed
First off, you need to define what is Dex vs what is Ag. Perhaps Dex is "fine motor skills" whereas Ag is more "gross body movement". Secondly, you're going to need to re-categorize what skills fall under which attribute. For example, does the RangedCombat skill now require Dex i...

Re: PC participation in mass combat
I'll flesh this out a bit later if needed. KotL, have you checked out Ben Scerri's Tides of War fan-supplement? Even if you don't use it verbatim, his list of Moments of Heroism is VERY handy. This is heavily drawn from my years of experience playing WFB, but here goes. Definitions: A troop or soldi...

Re: Stevedore - Dirty Fighting but no Melee (Brawling)?
Is it odd that Stevedore's don't get access to Melee(Brawling) as a career skill? Yes.
But given the Non-Career Advances box at the top of page 48, I don't see what the big hang up is.

Re: Surprised opponents take less damage
Here's how my group has handled that problem:
Since the surprised character cannot defend themselves, the attacking player still rolls but gets a minimum of +0 SL. I like Robin's solution a bit better, as it allows for the defender's suprised reaction to be a negative hindrance.

the "White snake" line stands out. i've heard something like it somewhere before but hell if i remember where. In the famous words of Father Wilhelm Abgott, "So come the midnight hour, we cry MORR! MORR! MORR!" (WFRP 4e Core book, Page 58). To which we now add David Tal Bedecken...

Re: The Red King
I don't speak italian, but it certainly doesn't sound like anything I've read in any official book (at least not verbatim). I would share Orin J's guess that there's a clever turn of phrase that's not coming through the translation (Red Rose?) or it could be a homebrew campaign clue.

I was unaware of any revision like you mention. I think the closest I know of is Defenders of the Forest, a pdf describing wood elves in general, maybe that helps?
