I don't think so. It was just a desperate invention!
I've just Googled it and found it is also the title of a Gothic novel by Isabel Stewart Way:

It's a complete coincidence. I'd never heard of the book before. I just made the name up.

Yes, I've also come across this title while asking Uncle Google to tell me anything about your flower. By the way, fleur du mal (which is a derivative of Charles Baudelaire's work) would sound good, too.

Yes, it's probably better. It certainly has a better literary heritage!

Can Ernst Heidlemann be the messenger who delivered the scroll from Etelka Herzen to Johannes Teugen?

The travel from Altdorf to Weissbruck along the canal takes 3 days and from Weissbruck to Bögenhafen up the River Bögen another 4 days. The Death on the Reik hexagonally-gridded map implies that the distances between Altdorf and Bögenhafen by road and by river are equal. According to the Daily Movements Rates section in "Mistaken Identity" coaches travel faster than barges, especially that sailing past Weissbruck is upstream. There are four coaching inns to call at which means the cultist, supposing he took a coach, would reach Bögenhafen in five days. Thus, he would arrive there two days earlier than the adventurers. It is consistent with "Shadows over Bögenhafen" which reads that Teugen received the scroll shortly before the arrival of the adventurers.

I actually suggested Heidlemann as the courier in the following post, though I assumed he would travel by barge:

The only difficulty I see in the version you suggest is that in the adventure as written, Heidlemann travels from the north, so cannot make a delivery direct from Herzen's tower. But it could easily be assumed that Herzen arranged for delivery of the scroll from elsewhere.
