Anyone willing to help me brainstorm about adapting this to WFRP to play as a oneshot?

The short question is how to adapt the concept of Walkie Talkies and/or a radio into WFRP?

My initial idea is that the walkie talkies are a number of connected magical items, or rune items, made with arts now lost which allows for communication over long distances also for mundane users of said items.

Off the top of my head, blowing a horn could be an effective way to send very simple messages, e.g. "Danger!", "Ambush!", "Help!", "Retreat!", over distances of hundreds of yards.
