Dave Allen very kindly agreed to answer some of my questions, covering topics like "what makes WFRP WFRP", how Cubicle 7 decide on which sourcebook to do next, and why Tilea is awesome. Also his thoughts on what makes a good NPC and some of the adventures he's written.

Dave Allen is one of my favorite people in the industry, just an all-around great guy. His thoughts on Power Behind the Throne are close to my own, I've never had the pleasure of running it and am fairly intimidated by all the pieces you need to keep together -- but I imagine it would be a fantastic experience if it ever happens.
I like his thoughts on what makes WFRP "WFRP" -- a dedication to hard historical elements and low fantasy mixed with absurdity that is unique in the space and what keeps me coming back to it year after year.
Great interview!

Great interview!
Thank you! It was a great pleasure to be able to interview him. I really liked his analysis of what makes WFRP WFRP too. Particularly the bit about including (semi) historical elements.

I had a pleasure of meeting Dave Allen at TimCon VII, a predecessor of TobCon. He is extremely outgoing and very knowledgeable. Indeed, his replies on the Black Industries forae (WFRP2) were both comprehensive and relevant. This is why I enjoyed reading the interview though I do not play WFRP4. Thanks for talking to Dave.
That is good to hear. I was really impressed by how detailed his responses were to my questions!
