Criticals
Any SUCCESSFUL Melee or Ranged Test that also rolls a double causes a Critical. This means you have dealt a significant blow, and it even happens when you are the defender in an opposed Test.

Yes? Is this a question?

You cause the crit (and the wounds associated with it) but not the wounds you would normally cause if you’d won the opposed test.

You could also win the opposed test, while also fumbling (say you roll 55 for -2 SL but your opponent gets -3 SL), so you inflict damage but also drop your weapon or the like.

Yeah I think this was advertised as a feature, that the vagaries of combat could cause criticals while still losing the opposed roll. IMO, the criticals should be split between "minor crits" caused like this, where a combatants Wounds are above 0, and "major crits" that are a result of Wounds running out.
