So this came up in our game the other day. An enemy charges between two Characters to get at a third one. We play on a grid with one square equaling 2 yards. There was a single free square between the PCs through which the enemy came through. Influenced by years of DnD we clamored for free attacks but could not find anything.
Thanks in advance for the answers.

Look up the engagement rules and the disengaging rules, WHFRP is a lot less strict on movement that D&D

So, given that the attacking character was not disengaging, he was perfectly within his rights to pass through the gap between the other two combatants and charge the third one.
That appears to be the only obstacle to free movement.
Thank you for the reply and confirmation.
