Hello everyone,

First post in the this here forum. I have been running 4e for my friends for nearly 20 sessions now, and a new player has joined the table randomly rolling the Pure Soul Talent for their Human PC.
I would love your help in understanding/ clarifying how this talent works.

The discerption is as follows:

"Pure Soul
Max: Willpower Bonus
Your soul is pure, quite resistant to the depredations of Chaos.
You may gain extra Corruption points equal to your level of Pure
Soul before having to Test to see if you become corrupt."

Now I have read the the section about Corruption about a dozen times now (Pages 182-185) and can not for the life of me understand what is the benefit of gaining extra corruption points via this talent.
What am I missing?
Thanks in advance and cheers.

It's not that the talent gains you more corruption. You just can stand more corruption points. With WP- and T-Bonus of 3 you would have to roll against corruption as soon as you have more than six corruption points. If you have Pure Soul 2 you only need to role if you have more than eight.
